Termite treatment
If we find live termites we do not rip out the timber or spray what we can see. That scatters them. We treat the active workings so the termites carry the product back to the nest, then protect the house with a treated soil zone, bait stations, or both. All of it follows the AS 3660 series. Around an inner west house on stumps, a treated zone usually comes in between $2,500 and $4,500.
What is included
- Treatment of active termites in the timber where they are feeding
- A written proposal with a plan of the house and where product goes
- Treated soil zone, in-ground bait stations, or both, to suit the site
- Follow-up visits to confirm the activity has stopped
- Certificate of treatment and a durable notice fixed at the meter box
- Advice on drainage, ventilation and timber to soil contact
How we do it
Inspect and identify
We confirm the species, find how they are getting in, and map the damage. The species changes the treatment.
Written proposal
You get the options, the product, the fixed price and what each option will and will not protect.
Treat the colony
Active workings are dusted, foamed or baited, then left alone for a few weeks so the product reaches the nest.
Protect and monitor
The zone or stations go in, and we book the return checks. A yearly inspection keeps it valid.
Signs you need this
- Live pale insects inside timber or a mud tube you have broken open
- Timber that crumbles or shows mud-packed galleries inside
- Fresh mud sealing a crack in a wall, stump or concrete slab edge
- A past treatment with no paperwork, or one that is years old
- A neighbour on a shared wall has just found termites
Seen something? Get it identified first.
Book an inspection and you will know what it is, how it is getting in and what it costs to fix before any treatment starts.
