Spiders and wasps
A wasp nest is treated directly, in a protective suit, usually late in the day when the wasps are home. Once it is dead we take it down where we can reach it. A single nest is $180. Spiders are different. We treat where they shelter: eaves, window frames, fence lines, subfloor vents and the shed. Webbing spiders respond well. Ground hunters such as white-tails wander in, so we are honest that you may still see the odd one.
What is included
- Wasp nest treated directly and removed where it can be reached
- Return visit at no charge if the nest is still active after 7 days
- Spider treatment to eaves, frames, vents, fences and sheds
- Webs brushed down a week later on request, once they are inactive
- Indoor treatment limited to cracks and corners, not open surfaces
- Written report with what was used and when pets can go back out
How we do it
Find the nest or shelter
For wasps we watch the flight path to the entry hole. For spiders we walk the outside and check the subfloor.
Treat at the source
Nests are dusted at the entry. Spider treatment goes where they sit, not across the lawn or the garden beds.
Check and remove
We confirm the nest is dead and remove it if reachable. You get re-entry times before we leave.
Signs you need this
- Wasps flying in and out of one hole in a wall, eave or retaining wall
- A papery grey nest under an eave, in a shed or inside a shrub
- Thick messy webs around windows, downpipes and outdoor lights
- Redback webs low down: under seats, bins, pot rims and meter boxes
- Someone in the house is allergic to stings
