Cockroaches and ants
First we work out which one you have, because the treatment differs. Small German cockroaches live inside warm appliances and cupboard hinges and need gel bait placed right there, plus a second visit. Large cockroaches come in from drains and gardens. Ants are followed back to the nest and baited so the workers carry it home. We use gels and baits before any spray, and we tell you what to clean and fix so they stay away.
What is included
- Identification of the species before any product is chosen
- Gel bait in hinges, motor housings and cracks, out of reach
- Insect growth regulator for German cockroach jobs
- Targeted treatment of drains, weep holes and entry points if needed
- Second visit for German cockroaches at two to three weeks
- Written report with re-entry times and a short clean-up list
How we do it
Identify and inspect
We check the kitchen, bathroom and laundry with a torch and find where they are hiding and what they are eating.
Bait where they live
Small dots of gel go into cracks, hinges and appliance voids. Benches and food areas are left clean.
Follow up
German cockroaches hatch in waves, so we return in two to three weeks to rebait. Expect to see fewer, not none, in week one.
Signs you need this
- Small light brown cockroaches running when you open a cupboard
- Pepper-like specks in hinges, drawer runners or behind the kettle
- A musty, oily smell in the kitchen that cleaning does not shift
- A line of ants to the pet bowl, the bin or a power point
- Cockroaches seen in daylight, which usually means a large number
