About us
A small crew from Preston
Local electricians who would sooner explain a job properly than rush to the next one.
Fenwright Electrical is a small crew of A-Grade electricians working out of Preston. We do the electrical work houses in the inner north actually need: finding faults, replacing tired switchboards, adding power points, and wiring chargers for the electric cars now turning up in driveways built for a Kingswood.
We keep it simple. You ring, an electrician answers, and you hear what the job is likely to cost before anyone gets in a van. On site we confirm the price in writing, take photos of what we find and explain it in plain words. If the honest answer is that an appliance is the problem and not your wiring, we tell you that and charge the call-out only.
We are a Registered Electrical Contractor, and a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for our work as Energy Safe Victoria requires. Prescribed work, such as switchboards and mains, is also checked by an independent licensed inspector. Registration and insurance details are available on request before we start.
How we work
Three rules on every job
- 01
Price before pliers
Nothing gets disconnected, cut or replaced until you have a price and have said yes to it.
- 02
Show, then explain
You see a photo of the fault and hear what caused it, in words that do not need a trade certificate.
- 03
Leave it safe
If a repair has to wait for a part, the circuit is made safe and clearly labelled before we leave.
Our promises
What you can hold us to
No awards on the wall. These are the things we do on every job, and you can check each one.
- Price agreed first
You get the price in writing before we start. It only changes if you ask us to do more.
- A certificate for the work
A Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for our work, as Energy Safe Victoria requires.
- Photos of what we found
We photograph the fault or the old board, so you can see what was wrong and what we did about it.
- Written warranty
Our workmanship is warranted in writing for 12 months. Parts carry the maker's own warranty.

What people said afterwards
Safety switch kept tripping every night around 2 am. They traced it to the defrost heater in the garage fridge in about forty minutes and charged the call-out only. No talk of a new switchboard.
Had the old fuse board replaced before we moved in. Power was back on by 3 and every switch is labelled, even the one for the shed. Certificate turned up by email a few days later.
I manage two rentals for my mum and had no idea the checks were due. They sorted the times with both tenants and sent a report for each. One smoke alarm was past its date and they replaced it on the spot for the quoted price.
Something not right with the power?
Call and talk to an electrician, or send the details and we will ring you back the same business day.
