About us
A small local crew that sizes things properly
Snowgum Air is a small air conditioning crew based in Reservoir. We install, service and repair split, multi-head and ducted systems in the suburbs around us. We stay local on purpose. It means we can keep the times we give you, and come back quickly if something is not right.
We started Snowgum because we kept being called to fix other people's installs. The unit was too big for the bedroom, or the outdoor unit sat under a neighbour's window, or the drain ran uphill. None of that is hard to get right. It takes a site visit, a tape measure and a bit of care, so that is how we quote every job.
Our technicians hold ARCtick refrigerant handling licences, and the business holds an ARCtick refrigerant trading authorisation from the Australian Refrigeration Council. A licensed electrician does the wiring and gives you a Certificate of Electrical Safety. You get the price in writing before we start and the warranty in writing when we finish.
ARCtick licensed technicians. Licence and authorisation details available on request.

What matters to us
Three habits we stick to
-
Measure first
We size the system on site.
-
Say it plainly
If a repair is not worth doing, or a smaller unit will do, we tell you.
-
Leave it tidy
Floors covered, one neat hole, pipes straight and the packaging taken away.
How we work
A few things we do on every job
-
Price agreed first
You get one written figure before we start. It only changes if you ask us to do more.
-
Sized for the room
We measure the room and check the insulation and glass before we recommend a unit.
-
Licensed for refrigerant
Our technicians hold ARCtick refrigerant handling licences. A licensed electrician does the wiring.
-
Warranty in writing
Five years on our installation workmanship, on paper, alongside the manufacturer's warranty.
From customers
What people said after we left
-
They talked us out of the bigger unit the last bloke quoted. The 2.5 in our bedroom is plenty and I can barely hear it. Outdoor unit went down the side, away from the neighbours.

Our lounge unit smelled like wet socks every time it started. After the clean the smell was gone and the airflow was noticeably stronger. They showed me photos of the fan before and after.

Unit was dripping onto the carpet. Turned out to be a blocked drain, not the expensive fault I was dreading. Fixed on the first visit for the price they told me on the phone.
Helen, Heidelberg
Tell us about the room and we will size it.
Send a few details and we will reply the same business day with a rough price and a time to visit.
