About us

A small plumbing crew based in Brunswick

Wrenfield Plumbing is a small crew working out of Brunswick. We do the plumbing that houses in the inner north actually need: drains blocked by tree roots in old clay pipes, hot water systems at the end of their life, taps and toilets that have dripped for a year, and the pipework behind a new bathroom.

The way we work is simple. We look at the job before we price it. You get that price in writing, covering parts and labour, and nothing starts until you agree to it. We photograph what we found and what we did, so you are never taking our word for something behind a wall or under the ground.

Our plumbers are licensed by the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) and the work is insured. We issue a compliance certificate for plumbing work valued at $750 or more, and for gas work as the regulations require. Our workmanship is warranted for twelve months in writing, and if a repair of ours does not hold, we come back and fix it at no charge.

How we work

Three rules we do not bend

  1. Price before work

You see one written price for parts and labour, and you agree to it before we start.

  2. Show what we found

Photos and camera footage of the fault, so you can see for yourself why the work was needed.

  3. Come back if it fails

Twelve months on workmanship, in writing. If our repair does not hold, we return and fix it.

What you can hold us to

Four things we do on every job

  • Price agreed first

You get a written price for parts and labour before any work starts. That is what you pay.

  • Photos of what we found

Before and after photos of the fault and the fix, sent to your phone with the invoice.

  • Written warranty

Twelve months on our workmanship, in writing. If our repair fails in that time, we come back and fix it.

  • Compliance certificates

Issued for plumbing work valued at $750 or more, and for gas work as the regulations require.

From customers

What people nearby said after the job

  • Back toilet was gurgling every time the washing machine emptied. They jetted the line and showed me the roots on the camera, right where the lemon tree is. Price was what they texted before starting.

  • Hot water died on a Thursday morning. They priced a repair and a replacement side by side, and the tank was 14 years old so I went with the new one. In by 3 pm and they took the old tank away.

    Tom, NorthcoteHot water systems
  • Booked for a dripping kitchen mixer. Plumber arrived inside the window, swapped the cartridge in about twenty minutes and didn't try to sell me a new tap. $160 as quoted.
