What people nearby said after the job
-
Back toilet was gurgling every time the washing machine emptied. They jetted the line and showed me the roots on the camera, right where the lemon tree is. Price was what they texted before starting.

Hot water died on a Thursday morning. They priced a repair and a replacement side by side, and the tank was 14 years old so I went with the new one. In by 3 pm and they took the old tank away.
Tom, NorthcoteHot water systems -
Booked for a dripping kitchen mixer. Plumber arrived inside the window, swapped the cartridge in about twenty minutes and didn't try to sell me a new tap. $160 as quoted.

Questions
What people ask before they book
Cost, timing, licensing and warranty, answered the way we would on the phone.
How much will it cost?
The call-out is $120 and includes the first half hour on site, which is enough to diagnose most problems and fix the small ones. For anything bigger you get one written price for parts and labour before we start. Most repairs land between $280 and $650. Blocked drains start from $220, tap and toilet repairs from $160, and a like-for-like hot water changeover from $1,650 installed. All prices include GST.
How fast can you come out?
Burst pipes, sewage overflows, gas smells and no hot water are treated as urgent, and we aim to attend the same day. Other jobs are usually booked within two or three working days. Either way you get a two-hour arrival window and a text when the plumber is on the way.
Do I pay anything if I decide not to go ahead?
You pay the $120 call-out, which covers the plumber's visit and the first half hour of finding the fault. If you do not like the price for the repair, that is all you owe. You keep the photos and the written quote, and there is no pressure to decide on the spot.
Do you come out after hours?
Yes, for urgent problems. The phone is answered until 9 pm every day. After-hours call-outs are $220 and include the first half hour. If the job can safely wait until morning, we will tell you how to isolate the water or gas and book you in for the next day at the normal rate.
