A planting plan is a scaled drawing of your garden with every bed, path and plant marked, plus a list of what to buy and how many. We measure the block, note where water sits and where the gums throw shade, then draw a garden you can build in one go or in stages. The plan is yours to keep, and you are free to have anyone build it.
What is included
- Site measure, with levels taken on sloping blocks
- Test hole and drainage check before any plant is chosen
- Scaled plan showing beds, paths, lawn and walls
- Plant list with botanical names, pot sizes and quantities
- One round of changes after you have seen the first draft
- A staged build order if you want to spread the cost
How we do it
-
Measure and listen
We spend about an hour and a half on site measuring, taking levels and asking how you want to use the garden.
-
First draft
Within two weeks you get a scaled plan and plant list by email, and we talk it through with you on the phone or on site.
-
Changes
You tell us what to move, swap or drop. One round of changes is included in the price.
-
Final plan
You receive the finished plan as a PDF and a printed copy, with a build quote if you would like one.
Signs you need this
- You have bought plants three times and the bed still looks patchy
- The back half of a sloping block is never used
- A new build or renovation has left bare clay and rubble
- You want a native garden but do not know which plants suit shade
- You plan to do the work yourself and need a clear drawing to follow
